  "  Les Buveurs de Vent"  (Drinkers of the Wind) was started in 1996 with the acquisition of two superb mares:  *Anaroufa (Ibn Moniet El Nefous X Bint Bint Aaroufa) and *EH Ahkrana (Al Nowasy GASB X Al Gasoorah GASB), with the idea of producing quality Egyptian Arabian horses.

Ahkrana was from West Germany and Anaroufa from Texas, offsprings of two world-wide renowned breeders!  With the years, we add many other horses coming from a little everywhere in Canada and in the States.

We don't possess any "  The Minstril"   blood.

       All our Arabian are within the "Al Khamsa" group, this means that all the horses in their pedigrees can be traced back to the original Bedouin horses of the desert.  An Arabian from "  Les Buveurs de Vent"   is the true desert horse with that tent sharing instinct, hot blooded and sweet without a mean bone in their body, for us the most wonderful horse in the world! Less than 5 % of all the Arabian horses worldwide are "  Al Khamsa"  !

       Did you know that the Arabian horse had contributed to the amelioration of almost all the other breeds of horses?

       "  Les Buveurs de Vent"   is in Abitibi, Québec, Canada, on the East side of the Ontario border about an hour from the Trans-Canadian (11) on a superb domain of 235 acres, our horses can run on large distances, developping their muscles and their staminas.  We grow our own "organic" hay and oat!!

       We have enjoyed raising our 5 children in the company of these equine matrons.  They have learned the love and respect of those magnificient animals.

       We would love to correspond with you and have you visit our farm, but, in the meantime, take a tour of our virtual stable.  Come back and see our site grow as new pictures are added.
